How can a Dietitian Help Me?
There are few subjects more important, yet completely confusing and emotionally charged than food. There's certainly no shortage of contradictory information available with a bewildering array of food options, products and outlets to choose from.
No matter what your reasons are for seeking nutrition advice, you can be confident that at Self Essentials, our dietitians will provide you with an evidence-based approach. You will receive up-to-date and practical nutritional advice that is based on sound medical information and nutrition science principles.
Importantly, at Self Essentials we are also friendly and professional - people you can rely on for expert advice, motivation and a helping hand. Our dietitians will work with you to develop a balanced approach to eating which emphasises well-being and the pure enjoyment of food.
Individual Dietitian Consultations
Individual consultations are conducted in a face to face manner in a private setting for a variety of health needs. We tailor our consultations to meet your individual requirements, health goals and food preferences. Some clients choose one visit only, while others request a full program with follow-up appointments. Whatever your preference, we will tailor a healthy eating plan to meet your specific needs, and will collaborate with your General Practitioner and other therapists, such as your psychologist, when appropriate.
At Self Essentials the dietitians often work in conjunction with psychologists in eating issues cases. This team approach is vitally important in achieving optimal health. Of course, your permission is sought prior to bringing another professional into your care.
